By Byrke Lou

Virtual Audiovisual Sculpture, 2020 Byrke Lou recreates two hypergraphs, which stem from a current approach to find the »theory of everything« by finding a model of the universe based on computational rules. In her work, the two spaces slowly morph from one to another over the course of six hours. The experience is started inside the space, where the spectator can float into all directions and experience a sound and light installation in the space. With the morphing of the space, the sound and light continuously, and very slowly change. At some points the spectator can leave the space and look at its shape from the outside. Berlin born physicist and artist Byrke Lou creates works which examine the cultural embedding of natural sciences research and emerging technologies. Her objects, installations, performances, and compositions reflect on scientific methods and the construction and impact of new technologies.
